Squishy Blocks
How personal data is handled when you use Squishy Blocks — a block puzzle where the blocks are alive. In plain terms, then in full.

In short
- No account, ever. Squishy Blocks never asks for your name, email address or password.
- Your content stays on your phone. It is never uploaded and we cannot see it.
- Analytics and ads only if you say yes. Nothing is collected until you consent, and you can withdraw at any time.
- We never sell personal data. Not to anyone, for any purpose.
1) Who is responsible
The data controller is Tropp Easy (Alessio
Troppina), independent Android developer, Udine, Italy.
Contact: troppeasy@gmail.com
This policy covers the Android app Squishy Blocks (com.trop.squishyblocks), distributed on Google Play.
2) What stays on your device
Squishy Blocks needs no registration and, in normal use, collects no identifying information such as your name, surname or address.
The app stores on your device only: your scores and statistics, unlocked mascots and missions, settings, saved game, and the status of the “Squishy Blocks Plus” purchase. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.
The app works offline. An internet connection is used only to show ads, to send analytics events if you consented and to verify in-app purchases.
3) Analytics — Google Analytics for Firebase
To understand how the app is used and where it can be improved, Squishy Blocks uses Google Analytics for Firebase. Where you have given consent, this service may process:
- events describing how the app is used: screens opened, features used, sessions started and ended;
- a random installation identifier, generated by the app and not linked to your identity;
- device and technical information: model, operating system version, language, country inferred from the IP address;
- the estimated value of advertising impressions, so we can tell whether the app can sustain itself.
We do not upload your game content, your progress or anything you write. Analytics data is pseudonymous: it describes an app installation, not a person, and we have no way of connecting it back to you. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, collection is switched off until you consent and switches off again the moment you withdraw. Outside those regions, collection follows applicable local law.
4) Advertising — Google AdMob
To show ads, Squishy Blocks uses Google AdMob (Google Ireland Ltd. for users in the EEA). Depending on your consent choices, AdMob may process:
- advertising identifiers, such as the Advertising ID;
- your IP address, also used to infer approximate location;
- device information: model, operating system, language, network;
- ad interaction and diagnostic data: impressions, clicks, performance, troubleshooting.
Details are in the Google Privacy Policy and in how Google uses data from sites and apps that use its services.
If you buy the one-time “Squishy Blocks Plus” purchase, no ads are requested at all.
5) Consent, and how to change your mind
In Europe (EEA, UK, Switzerland), consent is collected through the Google User Messaging Platform. On first launch you can accept, refuse, or choose purpose by purpose.
You can change your choice at any time, as often as you like, from Settings → Privacy options inside the app. Withdrawing consent stops analytics collection immediately and switches advertising to non-personalised, within the limits Google's rules allow. You can also reset or delete your Advertising ID in your Android settings.
6) In-app purchases — Google Play Billing
Squishy Blocks offers the one-time “Squishy Blocks Plus” purchase, which removes interstitial ads. Transactions are handled entirely by Google Play Billing: we never receive or store your payment details, such as your card number. The app receives only technical purchase information — status and identifiers — so it can unlock what you bought and restore it on a new device.
7) Why we process data, and on what legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Running the app and storing your preferences and progress on the device | Performance of the service you requested — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — and our legitimate interest in the app working correctly — Art. 6(1)(f) |
| Analytics: understanding how the app is used and improving it | Your consent — Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR |
| Advertising and its measurement, which is what funds the free version | Your consent — Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Where allowed, non-personalised ads may be shown without consent |
| In-app purchases and restoring them | Performance of a contract — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR |
| Answering support emails | Our legitimate interest in helping you — Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR |
8) Sharing and transfers outside the EU
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with advertising brokers of our own. Processing is carried out by the Google services integrated in the app — Google Analytics for Firebase, Google AdMob and Google Play Billing — each under its own terms.
Those services may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, transfers rely on the safeguards recognised by data protection law, such as the Standard Contractual Clauses.
9) How long data is kept
- On your device: until you uninstall the app, clear its storage, or use the reset option inside the app.
- Analytics: deleted automatically after 14 months at the latest, or earlier if you ask.
- Advertising: according to Google's own retention policies.
- Purchases: kept by Google Play as tax and accounting law requires.
- Support emails: only as long as needed to answer you.
10) Your rights, and how to delete your data
Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time.
The practical steps — and exactly what gets deleted and what is kept — are on one page: Delete your data.
For any request, write to troppeasy@gmail.com. We answer within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority; in Italy, the Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali.
11) Children
Squishy Blocks is not designed for or directed at children under 13. In the EEA, consent requests follow the age requirements of the GDPR. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us and we will remove it.
12) Changes to this policy
If anything changes, we update this page and revise the date at the top. Substantial changes affecting consent will be shown again inside the app.
